This semester has been transformative. Through my project proposal, I learned to identify real-life issues, such as burnout, and create a self-care plan supported with research. The visual rhetoric unit highlighted how design enhances emotional impact, skills I used in my final review project. Writing the analytical report promoted my understanding of mindfulness, encouraging me to engage in daily reflections on stress and emotional shifts. In the evaluation project, I combined personal experience with research to assess the Headspace app. These writing experiences reinforced that genre, audience, and purpose shape rhetorical choices while illustrating writing as a tool for self-improvement and wellness advocacy.

The skills I developed are transferable to my career in HR. Crafting project proposals is similar to developing HR initiatives that require clear problem identification and evidence-based planning. Visual rhetoric is commonly utilized in the design of presentations and training materials. The analytical report equipped me to document behavioral trends, which are crucial for understanding employee engagement and assessing the risk of burnout. By evaluating various platforms, I learned to objectively assess tools, a vital skill in human resources. These capabilities improve empathetic and data-driven communication within organizations.

For each project, I reviewed sample work to grasp formatting and tone, incorporating peer feedback to clarify my writing. For instance, I strengthened my proposal with direct citations after feedback identified weaknesses. I also revised the reflections in my analytical report to add depth and nuance. I adjusted the tone of the final review to ensure it was an honest evaluation rather than a sales pitch, aiming for clarity and cohesion throughout.
